NPW 2020 Competition Guidelines for
Pharmacy Students & Registered Pharmacists
COMPETITION 1: FOR PHARMACY STUDENTS
Guidelines
• Students pursuing D Pharm/B Pharm/M Pharm/Pharm D are eligible to participate in this nation-wide Online Quiz Competition.
• The Quiz is aimed to assess knowledge, skills, and competency of student pharmacists in various aspects of pharmacy.
Round 1 (Online Quiz Competition)
• Students must register before November 2, 2020
• The Online Quiz Competition would be held on November 3, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
• The link for the Online Quiz will be shared with the registered Email id/mobile number by 12:00 PM on November 2, 2020.
• The link for the Online Quiz will become active only 10 minutes before prior to the commencement of the competition.
• The link expires after 3:00 PM. Post submissions will be automatically rejected.
• Online Quiz Competition comprises 50 questions. The participant can answer using his/her smartphone/Tab/Laptop/PC.
• There is no negative marking and each and every correct answer will be given 1 Mark.
• The top 20 participants will be selected for the 2nd Round which is Objective Structured Presentation of a Real Case Scenario.
Round 2 (Objective Structured Presentation of a Real Case Scenario)
• Top 20 participants from the Online Quiz Competition will take part in the 2nd Round.
• A real clinical case scenario will be given to the 20 participants on November 4, 2020. The Case will be sent via Email.
• Each participant has to present the case, address the problems in the Case and give an evidence-based solution for each problem.
• The online presentation is on 5 November 2020 from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM.
• Each participant will have 10 minutes to present their case, and 5 minutes for Q&A.
• The platform and link for the presentation will be shared with the participant through his/her registered Email id/mobile number.
• All the 20 participants will be appreciated with an e-certificate
• Cash prizes with an e-certificate will be given to the 3 best presentations. The winners’ names and entries will be published on the IPA website, Pharma Times, IPA CPD e-Times, and Panache Live.
• The decision of the Judges/Evaluators will be final and cannot be challenged.
About the Competition
Pharmacists have played a key role during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in keeping the manufacturing, regulation, supply chain, and logistics running. The services offered by the pharmacists are appreciable. IPA plans to honor these COVID-19 Warriors during the National Pharmacy Week 2020. This Competition is aimed to gather experiences of pharmacists during the COVID-19 pandemic period.

Who is eligible ?
The following category of pharmacists living in India and registered with a State Pharmacy Council are eligible to participate in this nation-wide online competition:
• Practising pharmacists from Community/Hospital/Clinical/Supply chain)
• Pharmacy professionals (Industry/Regulatory/Others)
NPW 2020 Competition Guidelines for Registered Pharmacists:
• The Pharmacists are expected to provide their personal experiences related to their work place/working during the pandemic, along with any photographs.
• To make it easier for the participants to submit their entries, we have made provision of a Google Forms format. The participants have to type in their experiences under the respective questions (the Questions are given below in Appendix I).
• Alternatively they can type out their experiences in a word document and then copy-paste them in the participation Google form provided by us under the respective sections.
• The last date for receiving the entries is November 4, 2020, by 11:55 PM. Post deadline, you will not be able to upload your entries.
• A cash prize with an e-certificate will be given to 3 COVID-19 Pharmacist Warriors based on their shared experiences.
• The winners’ names and entries will be published on the IPA website, Pharma Times, IPA CPD e-Times and Panache Live.
Appendix I
The questions/sections which the participant has to type in the Google Form and upload as part of the Competition are:
• Your Full Name
• Your Qualifications
• Your Pharmacist Registration Number
• Your Email id
• Mobile No. (preferably WhatsApp)
• Name of your Workplace (Office/Pharmacy/Wholesale/HospitalFactory/Etc.)
• Detailed Address of your Workplace
• How did the pandemic hit/change your daily routine (Max 200 words)
• What were the fears in you and those at your workplace and home? (max 150 words)
• What changes did you/had to make at your place of work (Max 200 words) Attach pics if necessary
• How did you overcome the challenges? (max 300 words)
• How did your clients benefit because of your services in spite of the difficulties at your work- place (max 100 words)
